About Michael Kuzniewski
For the past four years, Michael Kuzniewski, Ed D, has served as superintendent of JS Morton High School, District 201, in Cicero/Berwyn, Illinois. He has consistently balanced budgets while expanding offerings for English language learners to reflect the district’s demographics. Dr. Michael Kuzniewski has overseen an expansion in advanced placement enrollment and guided collective bargaining efforts, despite a challenging financial situation for the school.
Dr. Michael Kuzniewski completed his BA in physical education and health at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, before earning a graduate degree in educational administration and supervision at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He also holds a doctor of education from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale.
Dr. Kuzniewski began his teaching career in physical education and coaching in Safety Harbor, Florida, and then later assumed responsibilities as assistant principal of Largo Middle School. In that position, he oversaw daily school operations and spearheaded initiatives that decreased teacher absenteeism rates. Michael Kuzniewski also guided West View School in Rockford, Illinois, as principal.
